scroll. does not require you to create an account. To provide a seamless reading experience, we store preferences locally in your browser's localStorage, including:
- Your display preferences (dark or light theme, font family, font size, line height, and letter spacing).
- Your selected topic interests, saved scrolls, liked scrolls, and reading progress.
- A randomly generated anonymous client identifier used solely to remember your likes and prevent duplicate counts.
2. Analytics & Feedback
We use PostHog to understand aggregate usage patterns (such as which articles are read and how the interface performs) so we can improve the reader. If you voluntarily submit a message through our in-app feedback form, the text you submit is stored in our database hosted on Supabase.
3. Advertising & Google AdSense
We partner with third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve ads when you visit scroll.
